Includes the species bracteosum, bullenianum, capituliflorum, crenatifolium, goldschmidtianum (syn. miyakei), purpureum, secundum, smillieae and their hybrids
Culture Notes: Grow similarly to cattleyas with heavier water and fertilizer in summer and slightly drier and cooler in winter. Some report good success with growing in baskets in sphagnum, though the sphagnum has to be replaced every two years or so.
